Easton and Redfield Avon and Somerset Constabulary Police Local Neighbourhood

We have had reports of people speeding in the local area.

Local officers have carried out enforcement activity and reviewed multiple sites (roads) for potential community speedwatch groups.

3 sites have been approved for the Redfield area, however, we currently have a lack of volunteers to run these.

PCSO Adam NEEDS is taking the lead on this and has worked with the One Show to film a piece about community speedwatch, date of airing to be confirmed.

We have set up multiple Community speedwatch to reduce the amount of speeding. We will also be featuring on the TV programme "The one show" soon to show the work we have been doing on it.

Reports of drug dealing and drug taking in the beat. We have upped our patrols in these hotspots and are doing operations to try and catch the drug dealers in the act.

Over the recent months we have had reports from the community of people living in caravans and vans in the area, currently this is situated on Greenbank Road, Cooperation Road, Bruce Road, Johnsons Lane and surrounding areas.

A multi-agency approach has been applied to this and therefore the following organisations are responsible as follows:

Police - responsible for dealing with any reports of crimes, ASB (anti-social behaviour) or obstructions caused by the vehicles whereby access is restricted on the pavement.

Council - responsible for removing/issuing notices to the caravans and vehicles if they are 'legally' parked, noise complaints and littering.
