We are putting on a community meeting which is a Partners and Community together meeting (called a PACT meeting).
This is your time to come and meet the local Neighbourhood Policing Team for Frome town and other local partnership like Frome Town Council to come and tell us about up to date issues happening in your community.

Address the increase in the number of theft from shops and the number of reported incident of Anti Social Behaviour, that can be more prevalent around school holidays

Liaising with local business / Agencies regarding shoplifting Anti-Social Behaviour within the town centre, providing high visibility patrols and crime reduction advice when required. Numerous offenders have been arrested and been dealt with at court, this has resulted in a reduction in offences

County Line drug dealers have targeted vulnerable persons and have used their premises for the purposes of supplying drugs.

Working with partner agencies we managed to address problem premises and this has resulted in the closing of these premises and the removal of problem tenants, and the support of vulnerable people with support being provided from partner agencies

Due to concerns raised by members of the public regarding drug misuse within Victoria Park Frome Neighbourhood Beat Team are regularly providing high visibility patrols to help deter this practice and also apprehend any persons involved.

The Beat team are also concentrating their efforts on welshmill lane Skate Park and The Cheese Show Ground.

Intervention talks are being encouraged within the local schools to help raise awareness of drug misuse and build positive relationships with our young people.

Ongoing foot patrols have been conducted, several persons have been stopped and searched with positive outcome for 3 persons for drugs. Police will continue with this action over the next few weeks.
