After the current Frome Rural PACT meeting it was decided that rural crime would become a PACT priority. The rural crime umbrella covers many offences, which the attendees at last night’s meeting are aware - Rural Crime (encompasses all crime that impacts the farming sector and communities that live and work from the land). Examples of rural crime are – Non–Dwelling burglaries, Burglaries, Theft of livestock, theft of farm implements etc. Our aim is to educate our rural community’s reference reporting of crime, preventative measures they can use to reducing the chance of becoming a victim of crime. |
This week we have been carrying out a leaflet drop for crime prevention in our more remote villages. If you would like crime prevention advice please don't hesitate to contact your local beat team. |

Multiple people at our latest PACT Meeting have raised that flytipping is currently an issue. A few locations have been mentioned, and they will be patrolled by police and council. The local council enforcement officers were at the meeting and were able to provide updates on what they're doing to tackle this issue. |
Another way of reporting a location for flytipping is via an application called fix my street.com. All you need to do is take a picture of the location and fill in some details and this will be fowarded to the local council to deal. |

With the winter months slowly being left behind us and warmer weather forecasted the likelihood of raves in your area is increased. We are starting talks with our local quarry companies to help secure the vulnerable sites which are no longer used. If you notice any suspicious activity or think that a rave is occurring in your area, please notify us as soon as you can via 101. |
We are pleased to report that we have had no incidents of raves in the recent weekends. We will continue patrols going forward and any information you can provide on upcoming events will be greatly appreciated. Please dont hesitate to get in contact with 101 if you would like to pass any information. |
