Can we also please remind people to keep their dogs on leads whilst walking through livestock due to a number of sheep being attacked and killed recently. Reports have been made of motorbikes and 4x4 vehicles using the byways across the Mendips causing damage to an area of AONB

Following a spat of thefts from outbuildings or sheds in local rural villages patrols in the area will be increased in times of darkness. Please report any incidents or suspicious activity using 101 or 999 in an emergency

Monitoring our Beauty Spots on the Mendips,
more patrols of our carparks on the Mendip and where possible crime prevention advice given out to members of the public re leaving property on show in vehicles.
