ASB in the town centre of Glastonbury is a regular issue, but now with the new PSPO (public spaces protection order) and signage in place we can work alongside Mendip District Council to enforce the legislation and keep Glastonbury a peaceful and harmonious place to work, live and visit.

Several Patrols have taken place over the Christmas period, one male has been issued a Community Protection Order, preventing him from entering Glastonbury.

Glastonbury and the surrounding villages have a number of vulnerable people either living on the streets or in unsuitable accommodation. Some of these people are vulnerable due to age/illness/dependencies and are often targeted by others. The local Police work alongside the other agencies to try and protect these people and to prosecute the offenders.

A vulnerable male, who had persons visiting him requesting money and using his address to fraudulently purchase catalogue goods now have an injunction to not go to the location, this was an amazing achievement by Aster and supported by PCSO Charlotte BRADLEY.

Glastonbury has 1 senior school, 1 junior school, 1 infant school and a number of nurseries. The local Police team try to engage with all students, giving them advice and support alongside the teaching staff. Regular visits are made to all schools.

A call was made to the local senior school where a young male had been excluded. The young male had refused to be taken home by family or staff, local PCSO attended and took him home, ensuring he was safe and also advice given regarding his actions.
