Police have received an increased number of reports of Anti-Social Behaviour by large groups of youths hanging around in Westfield

No major issues have been identifed recently, patrols continue.

The team will be patrolling roads alongside schools, to keep vehicles from stopping / parking on the yellow zig zag markings.These markings indicate a clear way, and any vehicles seen stopped at the side of the road within these zones, will be reported for the Traffic Offence. These zones create a safe area for children to cross the road, free of obstructions which obscure their view of the road, allowing them to cross safely.

Update: 2 further drivers have been reported for parking / stopping within the Keep Clear markings.

4 drivers have been given advice, and one driver has been reported for parking on the Zig Zag markings at Fosseway School.

Reports of motorcycles, especially mini motos are being ridden along the Pit Path, between Westfield and Midsomer Norton., causing a danger to pedestrians.
It is illegal to ride a motorcycle or moped on a pavement.
The team will patrol the area, and deal with any riders seen, this could mean seizing the bike.

Complaints have been received regarding groups of youngsters gathering by the Library in Radstock, resulting in pedestrians feeling intimidated.
The team will be making regular checks during patrol.

No groups have been seen during patrol, and no further complaints have been recieved. checks will continue during patrol.

More complaints are being received regarding vehicles parking on pavements in the area.
It is an offence to obstruct the pavement with a vehicle. Pavements are for pedestrians, wheelchair users and pedestrians with pushchairs. Any obstruction can force people into the road, placing them in danger.
Any vehicle seen parked and causing an obstruction to a pavement will either be issued a warning notice, or be reported for a traffic offence, depending on the circumstances.
Please park legally, and not causing an obstruction.
