Welshpool Town Dyfed-Powys Police Police Local Neighbourhood

T/PS Suzanne Lloyd transferred to Dyfed-Powys Police in 2006 after serving six years with the West Midlands Police. She has spent four years as a Road Policing Officer and has also spent time within CID. Suzanne is currently the Neighbourhood Policing Sergeant after having been stationed in Llanidloes as Beat Manager for Llanidloes and surrounding areas. Suzanne lives locally and is keen to work closely with the community to increase public confidence and satisfaction. She said, "I am looking forward to the challenge of a new role within Neighbourhood Policing. I firmly believe that my fifteen years of experience both in city and rural areas will assist me in delivering community policing effectively and prove valuable in seeking to resolve the varying issues that arise."

PC Jim Baines joined the police in September 2004. He previously spent eight years working as a volunteer with young people in the town, and then worked for four years in residential care with young people with behavioural problems due to their life experiences. He was born, bred and educated in Welshpool; he knows the town well and this knowledge and his experience of working with young people helps him in his Neighbourhood Policing role.

PCSO Sally-Ann Neville joined Dyfed Powys Police in 2012. Sally-Ann lives locally and was educated locally; giving her good knowledge of the area she works in. Before joining Dyfed-Powys Police Sally-Ann was a retained Fire-fighter with Mid & West Wales Fire and Rescue Service. This has given her valuable experience in partnership working, engaging with members of the public and problem solving.

As a Police Community Support Officer within Welshpool, PCSO Sarah Rees-Jones has the additional portfolio of forging links with the communities' schools. Drawing on her previous experience as a member of the Special Constabulary within the area she is able to utilise this experience to benefit the wider community.
