Cinderford Police Local Neighbourhood

Sue has been working for the Constabulary since November 2003 and has been a PCSO since joining, covering both Cinderford and Lydney areas.  She is currently one of the dedicated PCSO’s for Cinderford and Littledean.  The typical work for Sue includes school liaison, various aspects of road safety and traffic control and crime prevention.  She also works alongside the Housing Association with issues such as anti-social behaviour and other local issues. 

One of the PCSO duties Sue particularly enjoys and finds rewarding is all aspects of road safety and works closely with local communities.  She has specialised training to deliver Community Speed Watch to the communities.

Sue has also attended University through the Constabulary to develop her knowledge and understanding of anti-social behaviour management and supports the Parish and Town Councils with these issues.

When she has spare time, Sue enjoys baking and gardening and spending quality time with her family.

Dawn has been working for the Constabulary for 12 years and has been a PCSO since joining.  She is one of the dedicated PCSO’s for Cinderford and Littledean.  The typical day for Dawn mainly consists of community work, foot patrol, liaising with the elderly and vulnerable and supporting the Parish and Town Councils with any local issues. 

What Dawn enjoys most about being a PCSO is engaging with the elderly and vulnerable residents within the parish. 

Since joining the Constabulary, Dawn has received some specialised training to help in the community.  She specialises in working with the elderly and has completed numerous courses enabling her to recognise signs of dementia and how to interact and assist those diagnosed with dementia.  Dawn finds this work extremely rewarding. 

In her spare time, Dawn enjoys walking.

Tracy has been working for the Constabulary for 10 years and has been a PCSO since joining.  She is the dedicated PCSO for Mitcheldean, Longhope, Ruardean, Drybrook and Lydbrook.  The typical day for Tracy includes foot patrol and meeting the public along with school liaison.  She also supports the Parish and Town Councils with any local issues. 

What Tracy enjoys most about being a PCSO is engaging with the communities and talking to residents within the parish. 

Since joining the Constabulary, Tracy has received some specialised training to help in the community.  For example, training given how to deliver school presentations and she often attends various schools in the area to give talks to all ages on subjects such as internet safety.  She is also trained in recognising signs of dementia and how to help and interact with people with dementia along with Mental health Awareness. 

In her spare time Tracy enjoys travelling, especially abroad.

Nick has been working for the Constabulary for over 11 years and has been a PCSO since joining.  He is the dedicated PCSO for Awre, Newnham on Severn and Ruspridge.  The typical day for Nick includes high visibility foot patrol, engaging with the local community, gathering intelligence and dealing with low level crime and anti-social behaviour. 

What Nick enjoys most about being a PCSO is the foot patrol and meeting and talking to residents in the local community. 

With his years’ experience as a PCSO and his great knowledge of community policing, Nick is a tutor for new recruits.

Dave has been working for the Constabulary for 11 years and has been a PCSO since joining.  He is the dedicated PCSO for Westbury on Severn, Blaisdon, Minsterworth and Highnam.  The typical day for Dave includes foot patrol and visiting all the parishes in his area.  He also supports the Parish and Town Councils with any local issues. 

What Dave enjoys most about being a PCSO is meeting people from all backgrounds and engaging and talking to residents. 

Since joining, Dave has received some specialised training to help in the community.  For example, training given how to deliver school presentations and he often attends various schools in the area to give talks to all ages on subjects such as internet safety.  He is trained in recognising signs of dementia and how to help and interact with people with dementia; he is a mental health first aider and has links with local residencies for adults with learning difficulties and special needs. 

His hobbies include woodturning and glasswork and enjoys holidays in his caravan.
