I am the Sergeant for the Abbots Langley Safer Neighbourhood Team, also covering Kings Langley and Bedmond. I have been with the Constabulary for 14 and a half years and worked in various roles including Intervention.

Burglary
The local community have raised concerns regarding burglaries as a local priority.

Based on National burglary threat perception, there have been several OWL messages sent to local residents giving crime prevention advice based on the threat and MO that is directly relevant to them. Areas where offences occurred in 2016 have been revisited and have had crime prevention packs delivered to the target addresses. Safer Streets events have also been held locally in order to increase the uptake of OWL/Neighbourhood Watch and to assess vulnerability in those areas. Coming into Autumn this is still a relevant threat to the area that can be directly reduced through suitable crime prevention. Residents have been signposted towards www.hertscitizensacademy.org
