Groups in their vehicle are parking on various streets using Nitrous Oxide (small 8g canisters) that have been left littering our streets along with other rubbish. The beat team have identified various streets were groups are using these substances. Boundary Road was identified as the most common area where people are using these substances. Your local beat team will be conducting various patrols and dealing with those individuals under the Psychoactive substance act. |
There has been no further issues relating to the use of Nitrous Oxide. The beat team are still monitoring this situation and still urge residents to contact us if this issue occurs again. |

There has been growing concerns with vehicle crime in the area. We have received a number of crime reports relating to "Theft from Motor Vehicles". Majority of this is criminals going around and checking car doors. Those vehicles that are insecure have had items stolen. There has been also a few incidents where forced entry has been committed as well. Due to the community concerns "Op Pioneer" has been launched in order to monitor vehicle crime. |
‘Op Pioneer’ was launched in the area to help combat theft from motor vehicles, most commonly theft of tools from vans. Over the past few weeks officers have been working hard to help reduce vehicle crime and as such several people have been arrested across the Leicestershire area in connection with such crimes. We have also used 'Social Media' to encourage people to secure their vans and to continue to take valuable tools out of their vehicles. Please could I reassure the community that we are still patrolling your area so please continue to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity. Thank you everyone that has assisted the police in their enquiries. |

After a number of incidents of knife crime in the local area and speaking to the local community there was a concern about an increase in knife crime. Your local beat team are working together with communities and partners to tackle this issue. As a result Op ELAPSE has been launched. |
As a result of increased patrols and pro-active policing a number of stop searches were completed and as a result several significant arrests were made. |

Burglary – Your Local Beat Team are working hard keeping your area safe. Once again we see this concern for Burglary has adopted as a priority for the South Leicester area. It is sad to say there has been an increase of breaks mostly in the area of Knighton and Oadby. This year we are looking at new ways in how we can reduce burglaries, gain public confidence as we want you to feel reassured that we are doing the level best to keep you safe. We have recently worked hard forming relations within our communities by using Neighbourhood Link as a communication tool and social media. We have also established key individual networks within our communities forming Neighbourhood Watch. As for the unforeseen crime reports we obtained last year on Burglaries; we have launched ‘Operation Behold’ which is focusing on our top priority and to reassure our strong communities by working together. #OpBehold |
Your local Beat team has been working hard during the the last few months. We have spoken to previous burglary victims and have formed many Neighbourhood Watch groups so that the Police can work closer with communities. We urge communities to continue to call us on any suspicious activity and remain vigilant. |

A number of residents reported issues with their cars being broken into in the complex due to the gates being left open. They were concerned over the crime levels in the area and any possible future issues |
Through community consultation the gates to the complex have now been fixed and they are looking to install cctv cameras |
Issue dated: 02/05/2018 Action dated: 03/08/2018 |
Emanating from community consultation and from reported incidents, Anti-Social Behaviour in the area has been identified as a Neighbourhood Concern. The incidents revolved around young people throwing objects at residential premises in the street. The incidents initially started to occur in the early evening but have migrated to late evening and overnight. Some of these issues have been resolved but we are mindful that anti-social behaviour is now an issue specific to a number of properties. We will be looking to deal with each matter individually via this priority and monthly updates will follow. |
Officers have undertaken a problem solving approach to the issues on the road. This has included liaison with partner agencies, such as Leicester City Council to address the problem both environmentally and with regard to the persons believed responsible. |
Issue dated: 20/12/2017 Action dated: 20/12/2017 |
Priority: The neighbourhood team have identified a problem of anti-social behaviour through the use of Nitrous Oxide in the area. We have been told this by local residents and businesses, and the use has been apparent by the high level of litter in the area in the form of Nitrous Oxide canisters being left in the street. |
Issue dated: 28/06/2017 Action dated: 30/11/-0001 |

Following local engagement it has come to our attention that local residents are concerned about anti social behaviour in the area. Residents tell us that this anti social behaviour is linked with the use of motorbikes in the area being ridden by local youths. On most occasions these youths are not wearing helmets, are speeding and are riding in a manner that is not appropriate. Local officers have been conducting patrols in the area, consulting with local residents and looking to engage with the persons responsible. At this time no individuals have been identified and we have had no further reports of anti social behaviour in the area since the time of the initial engagement event. Further work will be conducted over the next couple of weeks and a decision will be made as to whether this priority remains open. |
This matter has now been dealt with by the neighbourhood team. |

Rowdy, abusive and intimidating behaviour by young people on Marriott Road, nearby on Southfields Drive and around Southfields Library (Pork Pie Island) between the hours of 3pm and 8pm on weekdays and anytime during the day on weekends. |
The neighbourhood team have responded to this priority by working closely with Leicester City Council and relevant Housing Associations to identify the people causing the problems. Joint agency visits were paid to those individuals and their families to warn them about the consequences of engaging in anti-social behaviour. Some of these formal warnings also banned individuals from the Library. Some also received referrals to support agencies to prevent re-offending. Extra high visibility patrols were carried out by Neighbourhood Officers. School talks were carried out to advise young people of what behaviour is acceptable. A crime prevention survey of the library was carried and advice given to improve the security including anti-climb paint to prevent people climbing on the building. Reported problems have decreased but the team will continue to treat this as a priority until the community are satisfied that this issue has been resolved. |

By working with stadium staff and local people to identify the entry points. We patrolled these and challenged any people found in the area. A very visible police presence was increased. To tackle anti-social behaviour including damage, litter, underage drinking and general nuisance at Aylestone Recreation Ground and the surrounding streets during the evenings and weekends. |
By working with both local people and the City Council. We have carried out additional patrols. More youth work was seen to take place on the park and the park shelter is seeing some additional work later this year. Due to the proposed building works taking place on the park we will continue to work on this priority. On August 21 the fourth Saffron Fete will take place on the park and we will take this as an opportunity to consult with the local community. |
Issue dated: 01/05/2010 Action dated: 11/08/2010 |
To work in partnership with other agencies to maintain a impact on underage drinking which can result in anti-social behaviour in and around Stonesby Avenue and Southfields Drive. |
Police and partner agencies have conducted a number of initiatives that have seen the problem greatly reduced. Joint patrols with partner agencies and Youth Services took place and considerable quantities of drink were seized. Local shops were asked to join â??Bottle Watchâ?? and this scheme was successful in the area in reducing alcohol sales to young people. The use of directed CCTV and officers and youth workers responding to groups also greatly reduced the problems. The situation is now much improved and this priority will now be closed but the area will be monitored by local officers. |
