Area by local young people and to prevent graffiti
and misuse of the equipment at Southey Park,
Enderby, at all times.

By visiting the local Parish council and discussing
ongoing issues, door knocking local residents to show a
visible presence in the area, and displaying posters
promoting pro-active policing. The area became part of
the operation against anti-social behaviour which took
place on Friday and Saturday nights. Police visited this
location during these evenings to disperse any groups
and tackle anti-social behaviour. We visited the local
schools and held talks about it. We worked closely with
partnership agencies such as Blaby District Council
ensuring that any details of those stop-checked were
passed on to them and as a result parents of two people
caught committing anti-social behaviour in the area
were sent warning letters. Two people were arrested
and cautioned for marking the Multi Use Games Area
with graffiti. We kept residents of Enderby regularly
updated via a police system called VC Relay,
conducting beat surgeries and door-to-door visits. Over
the past two months we have had no reported incidents
concerning the Multi Use Games Area therefore we are
closing this as a priority for the Enderby Neighbourhood.

People riding motorcycles recklessly and inconsiderately, causing nuisance to residents and other road users, around Packhorse Drive, Queens Drive, Sandhill Hill Drive and the motorway bridge, between 3pm and midnight, seven nights a week.

by consulting local people about the extent of the problem. We delivered survey letters to all residents in the immediate area. We received 64 replies and a third of these responses highlighted the problem. Other officers from Blaby local policing unit have been involved and undertaken stop checks of motorcycles as well as carrying out high visibility patrols to deter trouble. Advice only was given on these occasions regarding driving behaviour. One motorcycle has been seized and destroyed, and the owner dealt with for document offences. We have requested the possibility of a kissing gate at the entrances of the motorway bridge to deter riders from using it. We are waiting for a decision on this from the County Highways Department and once we have a decision we will update all residents accordingly. Since the 10th June 2010 no further reports have been brought to our attention about this problem. In light of this and awaiting the update from the Highways Department we shall be closing this as a priority but shall continue monitoring over the months to come.
