I have worked for Leicestershire Police since 2007, and since then I have been part of the Shepshed police beat team. am keen to build up a good working relationship with local people and the community, and committed to making people feeling safer in the area they live. I joined Leicestershire Police in 2004 as a Police Community Support Officer and have been based at Loughborough since then. I have spent most of the time on the Bell Foundry Estate since joining the force tackling issues of Anti-Social Behaviors and drug related issues. Recently I have moved to the Beat 64 covering Dishley, Hathern and Shepshed. I enjoy being out and about, meeting the public and tackling the issues that matter to you. I hope to make the area a safer and more enjoyable place to live. I look forward to the coming year, welcoming any new challenges and meeting lots of new people along the way.

I have been an Officer with Leicestershire Police for 14 years, joining Charnwood NPA as a Sgt in November 2018. I have spent the majority of my previous 14 year career in various Detective roles including; Serious crime, Child Sexual Exploitation and Adult Safeguarding as well as having the opportunity to be seconded to the HMICFRS (Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire & Rescue Services).

There have been several reports of more than 10 youths continuously gathering in the area around Anson Road, Shepshed during the evenings and into the early hours. Links to these reports are suspected offences of criminal damage to play equipment (Arson), garden furniture, swearing, shouting and intimidating behaviour.

Residents in and around the area of Glenmore Park, Shepshed are reporting continuing Anti-Social Behaviour by persons visiting the park (this includes the area around the park). Complaints are being received that youths are gathering in the car park adjacent, with links to possible drug use. Further to this, other complaints of noise, litter, motorcycles and intimidating behaviour have been received.

There has been an increasing level of antisocial behaviour within the Gelders Hall Industrial Estate, Shepshed. A number of vehicles have been seen causing issues in the area.

Members of the community have reported that over recent weeks there has been a significant increase in both anti-social behaviour and drug dealing coming from premises within Brook Street and Queen Street. This has been taking place during the evenings.

After some excellent engagement with the local community, the dedicated neighbourhood team have identified the premises and person suspected of causing the most concern. The suspect is no longer living within the area and local people have reported that there are no longer issues at the location.

To combat, and identify individuals responsible for ASB and street drinking within the Market place, Shepshed.

The beat team is increasing patrols at the location and working closely with the housing association to obtain information and tackle issues with a multi-agency approach.
Persons have been identified and dealt with appropriately.
Local businesses have informed us that the issues have stopped, as a result this priority plan will now be closed.

Due to the increase in burglary dwellings within the Hathern and Dishley area, high visibility patrols have been increased to identify any potential suspects.
Members of the public are encouraged to be extra vigilant and to report any suspicious activity.

There has been an increase in reports from residents that drugs are being dealt at the location of Charteris Close.

Motorists speeding along Sandringham Drive

Speed checks have been continued to be conducted and due to the decrease in complaints and enquiries continue to see if there is any need for camera vans to be used.

To tackle drugs use and associated ASB, Brook St flats, Shepshed.

To tackle the problem of cyclists in Shepshed; using the highway without lights; during the hours of darkness.

The local beat team have completed cycle hub events, high visibility patrols and education to the local persons.
