I am a Police Community Support Officer on the East Shields Neighbourhood Policing Team.

Police Community Support Officers are a friendly familiar sight and work closely with the Neighbourhood Beat Managers, forming an integral part of the Neighbourhood Policing Team.  We attend the same briefings as regular police officers and often carry out joint operations with them.

Along with my colleagues, I can be seen patrolling in and around the Harton Nook, Harton and The Wedge areas. My main role is to provide public reassurance to the local community and I do this by providing high visibility patrols focusing on low level crime, disorder and anti-social behaviour.

I am the Sergeant for the Boldon, Cleadon & Whitburn areas within South Tyneside Area Command.

My priority is to make those areas safer places to live, work and visit by reducing crime and disorder and increasing public confidence.

I am the Neighbourhood Inspector for East Shields, Boldon, Cleadon and Whitburn.The sector covers large rural areas and areas of high density housing, a leisure centre and a large open expanse.

I began my career with Northumbria Police in 1989, working from Boldon Police Station. I have served across the Northumbria Police area and for the last 8 years have been primarily involved in neighbourhood policing, as a Sergeant and Inspector. I am delighted to return to work in the area where my career began.

I lead a team of people consisting of two Neighbourhood Policing Teams, each led by a Sergeant, which include Neighbourhood Beat Managers and Police Community Support Officers. These teams, supported closely by other resources within Northumbria Police work hard to ensure that long term solutions are found to resolve matters that you have identified as your local policing priorities.

These are YOUR Neighbourhood Policing Teams and I encourage you to let us know what is happening where you live so that we may effectively target those individuals who commit crime and anti-social behaviour. I am a Neighbourhood Beat Manager (NBM) responsible for the Whitburn area.

I believe that the NBM is a vital link between the community and the police, establishing contact with a wide range of parties within the community and to provide a familiar face to local policing.

My main role is to tackle crime and disorder which includes anti-social behaviour within the community.  I do this by utilising a multi-agency approach in an effort to improving the quality of life for all, making the area a safer place to live.

I was appointed as a Neighbourhood Beat Manager (NBM) in October 2008 and cover the Harton Moor area.

Previous to this role I have worked in both South Shields and Hebburn Police Stations. 

I believe that the NBM is a vital link between the community and the police, establishing contact with a wide range of parties within the community and to provide a familiar face to local policing.

My main role is to tackle crime and disorder which includes anti-social behaviour within the community. I do this by utilising a multi-agency approach in an effort to improving the quality of life for all, making the area a safer place to live.

Much of my work is with young people, and I work closely with the local schools in my area.

My name is Luiz Scheidt, I am a Neighbourhood Police Constable and have worked in the South Tyneside Area Command for all of my service. I cover the Boldon Colliery area.

I see my main role as one where my priority is to provide the community of the local area with a face they are familiar with and can approach knowing they will be listened to whatever their problems may be and that I will do my best to solve it for them.

My aim is to tackle crime, anti-social behaviour and disorder. This is to help improve the quality of life for all residents and to make the area a better and safer place to live.
I work very closely with my colleague Anthony Shields who is the Community Support Officer for the area and can be seen around the village on foot patrol providing support to the local neighbourhood team.
