I am the Neighbourhood Beat Manager for Simonside and Bede in Jarrow.

As a Neighbourhood Beat Manager I aim to deal with issues raised as a priority by local residents and will always seek to prevent, detect and reduce crime.

I look to identify problems of crime and disorder by working alongside the local community and aim to find lasting solutions. 

I want to build close links with my community and local partners, to reassure people, reduce the fear of crime and build confidence and trust in the police.

Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) are a friendly familiar sight and work closely with the Neighbourhood Beat Managers, forming an integral part of the Neighbourhood Policing Team.  We attend the same briefings as regular police officers and often carry out joint operations with them.

Along with my colleagues I can be seen patrolling in and around the Jarrow Town centre . My main role is to provide public reassurance to the local community and I do this by providing high visibility patrols focusing on low level crime, disorder and anti-social behaviour.

I am the Neighbourhood Sergeant for Jarrow, I report directly to the Neighbourhood Inspector and am responsible for providing both leadership and management to my team.

My priorities are to direct my team effectively so we can:

Identify and tackle the main problems of crime, disorder and other quality of life issues experienced by the local community particularly vulnerable groups.

Forge close links with partner agencies in order to promote problem solving within each neighbourhood by working in partnership to tackle the underlying causes of many of these issues.

Provide a visible uniform presence aimed at reassuring the local community and reducing the fear of crime.

My name is Clare Davison.  I am the Neighbourhood Beat Manager covering the Jarrow Town Centre, within South Tyneside Area Command.

I am an experienced officer who works with other members of the neighbourhood policing team to make Jarrow a better place to live.

My name is Brian Gardener. I am a Neighbourhood Beat Manager for the Scotch Estate in South Tyneside.

My role is to work with local partner agencies and build links with the community to help prevent, detect and reduce crime in the area.

Critical to the success of Neighbourhood Policing is the support of the community. There are many community projects ongoing in the area and I intend to become a regular visitor and familiar face within them.

I am the Neighbourhood Inspector for Jarrow and Hebburn and oversee the work of two Neighbourhood Teams covering the areas. These consist of sergeants, PCs, Community Support Officers and Special Constables who are committed to improving the area for residents and visitors.

I am committed to reducing crime and disorder but also listening to residents’ concerns and acting upon them to ensure we can continue to build trust and confidence in the community.

Partnership working is also key with a multi-agency approach taken when looking for long term solutions to community concerns and creating a Safer South Tyneside.

In the Neighbourhood Inspector role, I deal with neighbourhood issues reported to us by members of the public and task my teams to deliver a service to meet the needs of residents.

Many other policing issues occur on a daily basis which are addressed by the 24/7 response teams who operate from Hebburn police station.

I am confident that with the support of our partners and input from members of the public that we can continue to achieve results and further reduce incidents and crime in Jarrow and Hebburn.

I am a Neighbourhood Beat Manager (NBM) on the Hebburn Neighbourhood Policing Team covering the areas of Bede Burn, Albert and Gladstone.

I work as part of a team made up of a Sergeant, Constables and Community Support Officers.

My role is to develop and maintain links with the community in the area I work, dealing with issues identified as affecting the community.  I also work with my colleagues from partnership agencies, including South Tyneside Council, Community Wardens and other departments, looking for long term solutions to any problems.

It is my intention to work together with those partners and the community to make a safer and more secure area to live in.

I am a Neighbourhood Beat Manager responsible for the Lakes Estate within the Hebburn sector of South Tyneside Area Command.

I believe that a Neighourhood Beat Manager (NBM) is a vital link between the public and the police, establishing contact with a wide range of parties within the community and providing a familiar face to local policing.

My main role is to tackle crime and disorder which includes anti-social behaviour within the community.
