I joined in the Police in 1987 and have experience in patrol and investigative departments.
I am the Police Sergeant working in the South area of Gateshead. I supervise a team of Constables and I have responsibility for crime and disorder at and around this location.

I am PC Ashley Loader, responsible for policing the Birtley North area. I work within the South Gateshead Policing Team.

As an inspector in the Gateshead South Neighbourhood Team I have responsibility for two uniform sergeants and Neighbourhood Beat Managers. Community Support Officers also work as part of the team.

Reducing the fear of crime and anti-social behaviour is the main focus of the team. We also want local communities to feel confident that their local police will identify, prioritise and successfully deal with the main issues.

I joined the force in March 1992 and have experience policing in Sunderland and Northumberland as well as Gateshead. I also have specialist experience of roads policing and working in the Training Department.

I have been heavily involved in 'Safer Routes To School' in Gateshead
for a number of years. I coach young people in basketball and also run
a youth football team on a Sunday morning.

I joined Northumbria Police in 2004 and have been stationed at Gateshead throughout this time.  Prior to joining the team I worked on 24/7 as well as various proactive teams and attachments to the CID team within Gateshead.  I believe this has helped me gain a wide variety of skills all of which I intend to use within my new role.

I joined Northumbria Police in 1996 having served six years in The Metropolitan Police.

I am responsible for the Beacon Lough Estate and Eighton Banks. I have previously worked in Whickham and Gateshead Central.

My role as a Neighbourhood Beat Officer is to meet the needs of the local communities in order to reduce crime and disorder and improve the quality of life for those living in this area.

These areas border on open land and the urban conurbation of Tyneside and consequently have unique problems.

I am very keen to see youth involvement in local issues and have worked closely with youths in the past organising football tournaments and have generally tried to encourage young people to take ownership of their problems.

It is my aim to ensure the best possible provision of police and other Community Safety services are given to this area.
