I'm Mark Chappell and I am temporarily responsible for Local Policing in Redditch.

I have nearly 22 years of experience and have enjoyed numerous roles including pro-active and Intelligence Policing work.

Leading the Redditch Neighbourhood teams I look forward to working with local partners to tackle issues for the local community, targeting crime and antisocial behaviour and those who cause the most harm.

It's important that your Local Neighbourhood teams listen to local concerns and use information from local people to understand and support the residents and visitors to Redditch to provide policing for the local community.

Sergeant Dave King joined West Mercia Constabulary in 2001 and was posted to Redditch where he worked on local policing and response policing as a Police Constable, before moving to the old Bromsgrove Police Station on the Divisional CID in 2003. In 2006, Dave then went into specialist policing roles at Headquarters where he worked in Special Branch and the Serious Organised Crime Unit. Upon promotion to the rank of Sergeant in 2009, Dave returned to the North Worcestershire division and worked at Redditch and Kidderminster as a shift sergeant on response and as a custody sergeant. In 2017, Dave took up his current role as district Sergeant for Bromsgrove.

Simon has been a police officer for over 15 years and the local Safer Neighbourhood Officer for Alvechurch & Wythall for the last seven years. Simon has policed several high level occasions like the 2012 Olympic Games, aftermath of the 2005 London Bombings, Birmingham Riots 2011, English Defence League March in Wellington, Telford and several Royal International Air Tattoo Shows (RIAT) at RAF Fairford. Simon is committed to reducing Anti-Social- Behaviour, crime and disorder with partnership stakeholders in the areas of Alvechurch & Wythall. Simon is also a strong believer in working together with the local community to reduce Anti-Social- Behaviour, crime and disorder and to make the community a safer place to be.

Mark has worked for West Mercia Police as a Police Community Support Officer since 2008. You will usually see him out and about either on foot patrol or his police issued mountain bike. Prior to becoming a PCSO Mark served in the Royal Navy as an Aircraft Engineering Technician where he serviced, maintained and repaired the Lynx MK3 & MK8 Helicopters on 702 squadron and 815 squadron based at RNAS Yeovilton in Somerset. During his time in the armed forces has served on board numerous ships including HMS York, HMS Southampton, RFA Fort George and RFA Argus.

I have been a Police Community Support Officer since 2009.  For nine years I worked as part of the Droitwich Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT). In June 2018 I transfered locations and joined the Alvechurch and Wythall SNT. I am happy to be part of the team and I am looking forward to new challenges ahead.

1. Burglaries - Properties within the Hollywood and Wythall area have recently been targeted by criminals. 

2. Car Crime - Vehicles in the Alvechurch, Hollywood and Wythall area have been targeted by criminals.

3. Antisocial Behaviour - Youths have been causing Anti Social Behaviour in Wythall Park, Silver Street causing damage to property and causing Alarm, harassment and distress to the service users.

1 . Safer Neighbourhood Team members have been actively conducting high visibility patrols of the areas affected. Safer Neighbourhood Team members have been actively using social media to make the affected community aware of current issues and provide crime prevention advice and recommendations. Safer Neighbourhood Team members are actively using social media to inform members of the community of their patrols activity's and locations. Safer Neighbourhood Team members will be holding crime prevention police surgeries on Saturday 16th February 2019 between 1pm and 3pm at Drakes Cross parade, Hollywood and on Sunday 2019 between 10am and 12pm at drakes Cross Parade, Hollywood in order to offer crime prevention advice and security recommendations where appropriate. Crime prevention surgeries have be advertised by utilising social media, West Mercia Police Community Messaging Service (CMS) and West Mercia Police Neighbourhood Watch.

Safer Neighbourhood Team members are actively using social media to inform members of the community of their patrols activity's and locations. Safer Neighbourhood Team members have been engaging with youths in the area and trying to ascertain the identity of those responsible.

Priority 1: Vehicle Crime - Theft from motor vehicles. There have been a number vehicles which have been entered over night and items stolen from within.

Priority 2: Road Traffic Collisions (RTC's) - There have been a number of Road Traffic Collisions along Haslucks Green Road on the bend at the junction with Peterbrook Road, Majors Green.

Priority 3: Speeding - Residents report speeding vehicles outside the Coppice Primary School and Nursery as well as Woodrush High School, Shawhurst lane, Hollywood.
